- Witness a Polar Bear family in the wild
Travelling Canada is an eclectic experience, beautiful landscapes and a huge variety of wildlife is enough to inspire the best of us. One of its most iconic inhabitants, the polar bear calls an area nearly a thousand miles above of the Canadian populated centres it’s home. These iconic predators are another endangered species that are in serious threat in the wild. Sightings are few and far between, but witnessing a family together in the vast wilderness would be spectacular. The wonder coupled with the fear would be indescribable.
- Become a Cowboy for a month
We have already experienced living on a ranch in Australia for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. However a real cowboy wears a Stetson and rides a horse, in a ranch in Texas right? Sorry if that offends anyone, but that our dream … Riding a appaloosa horse, wearing an authentic Stetson hat, rounding up cattle on a huge wilderness ranch is just our idea of an authentic experience. We realise that the old west is long gone, and that ranch work these days is labour intensive, but we would embrace the challenge. We would savour that moment saddled on the horse.
- Experience the African Migration
Part of our original wishlist blogged in August included being able to witness the magic of the Serengeti & Maasai Mara and the wonder of the mass migration. Literally millions of native wild animals including an estimated 1.5 million wildebeest make a seamlessly endless journey across woodlands, savanna & hills in search of the rains. It’s a true natural event that has been occurring for hundreds maybe even thousands of years and still in today’s crazy world it continues.
A marvel of mother nature – a true force and an epic experience – what better to close off our Anniversary Bucketlist series.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you have enjoyed it – I’d love to know what’s on your list – feel free to comment
